This was fun to try, and really simple! I poured three cans of apple pie filling into the dutch oven, sprinkled one box of white cake mix over the apples and then drizzled a can of 7 UP over the top of that. We didn't have enough briquets started to completely cook the cobbler (that won't happen again, lesson learned) so I ended up putting the uncovered dutch oven directly into my kitchen oven that was set at 350 degrees, to finish cooking it.
Ann Dexter is the one I got the recipe from. I put more apples in than Ann does and it was too much apple. Stick to her recipe if you don't like a lot of apples.

The first picture is of the cobbler made in the dutch oven. Like I said before, I put too much apple pie filling in it. It turned out a bit bland for my taste so I sprayed a 9 x 13 cake pan then scooped the cobbler out of the dutch oven. Placed it crust side down into the pan and broke it up with a spoon. After that I sprinkled cinnamon sugar on it. On top of that I poured a dry white cake mix, then sprinkled that with brown sugar and drizzled one cube melted butter over that. I also poured about a half a can of 7 Up very last thing on to it. I baked it in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to an hour, uncovered. The finished product is shown in the second picture. It turned out marvelously!
