Linda and I took our horses to Mountain River Veterinary Hospital this morning. They had a clinic from 10-2 where they offered a vet check, immunizations, worming and coggins test, all for a reasonable price.
I was pleased at how efficiently it was ran.
When you pulled in, they had you park your trailer in line with the other trailers and then had you go in to pay for the services you wanted done. While I was inside one of the vet techs moved my truck and trailer when the line happened to progress while I was paying.
The truck and trailer line wound through the parking lot, around the back of a round pen and back up the side of the hospital. Two trailers would stop at a big garage door at once, where there were stations set up inside, enough to handle multiple horses.
I was surprised to see friendly faces, Dr. Waddoups, the vet who used to work at BYUI was there and so was Sylvia. I sure miss that girl!
All my horses did well, but Jackie wouldn't go into the shoot. Poor thing has never been to the vet before, she was scared. Doc did it all outside the shoot. She stood quiet and still for him.
