Linda, Trish and I went to the BYU-I Livestock Center to ride today but instead of being able to ride we were told that there will no longer be any horse riding allowed there. I must admit, this is a blow, but not an unexpected one.
We mourned the loss of our beloved indoor arena for a few minutes then moved on. What was there for us to do about the situation, nothing.
We loaded up all our horses and headed to the county fair ground.
Once there, all the horses were off loaded once again and everyone saddled up and headed into the big outdoor arena. I was about to get on my horse when a man came up to me and said they needed to prep the arena for calf roping, we had to leave this arena too. Talk about bad luck!
The man then directs us to another smaller outdoor riding arena on the other side of the fair grounds. Finally after over an hour of shuffling horses from one arena to the next, we actually got to ride our horses.
