Lynda Mom and I spent the day at EIRMC (Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center).
They needed her there to do a bunch of preliminary stuff before her heart surgery on Friday.
It was refreshing to spend the day in a position of support only, not having to hurry my way through my day like I usually have to.
You know how slow hospitals are and EIRMC is no different but I didn't mind. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and kind as they poked and prodded her and explained everything that would be happening to her on surgery day.
I also was able to slip away to visit my friend Pam Roberts who had had a heart attach the morning before.
Dan (her hubby) called Steve that morning and asked him what he should do because Pam was experiencing pain in her chest and in her left arm. Steve told him to take her to EIRMC.
Pam is doing well after her procedure, part of her heart is stunned because of the lack of blood flow but they are hoping it starts working again.
Pam is only a few years older than I am. Her heart attach has been a wake up call for me.
